OBW SEO - More search terms on the first page of Google!
2 Comments Published December 11th, 2007 in Google Search Terms, OBW Buzz, OBW News, OBW SEO.Wow, it seems like One Buck Wiki is getting more Google search terms everyday.
Here’s the list for today:
reverse funnel wiki Page #2 on Google for reverse funnel wiki
reverse funnel wiki Page #2 on Google for wiki reverse funnel
Our Blog post on how to make a dollar shirt, #4 on MSN Live search
Digital Gravel Page #1 on Google for digital gravel marketing and #3 on Google for digital gravel wiki
Bad Debt Page #3 on Google for bad debt wiki (Wow, this page is right after Wikipedia. This page can probably be sold for at least $5000.)
Great job to all the page-owners and you can adhere to the following recommendations on getting your page on the first page of Google:
1. Put great content.
2. Put definition of the keyword of your page. Meaning if you have Bad Debt page, explain what Bad Debt is briefly before advertising your website or whatnot.
3. Submit to social bookmarking systems. Make use of the buttons at the bottom of your page.
4. If you have no content, put something. Otherwise, Google will simply penalize you for having no content at the least.
Such pages like Digital Camera and Bad Debt now have an SEO value. We don’t know if it’s $1000 or $50,000 but we know you could probably sell that page to a potential buyer in that niche. You could probably sell the Digital Camera page to an SEO company that has Digital Camera E-store clients for at least couple Gs.
We will make a new page soon on the homepage where you can list your pages for sale and list your Google rankings for a search term.
Many searches are “some keyword wiki” these days because people want to find the Wikipedia page for that “some keyword”. You can easily top it or get close to it by buying a page on the One Buck Wiki and putting interesting content!
Still hesitant about buying a page on the One Buck Wiki? Get a page for $1 and sell it for thousands before all the good keywords get taken. It’s not a hype anymore, we just proved it to you’all.

New Feature - Robots nofollow removed from Index and Most Popular Pages!
2 Comments Published November 16th, 2007 in New Features, OBW News.Remember we removed Nofollow tags for links on all pages? Well, we were so stupid (yes, we admit it) that we forgot to remove nofollow tags for robots for our Index and Most Popular Pages. Thanks to Collin at WordHugger, he caught the error for us and now we have a very nicely search-able website with all nofollows removed.
Check out Collin’s new marketing blog here.
Collin owns the following pages on the One Buck Wiki: (Visit them to pay thanks for catchin’ the error for us.)
On the bright side, we also have the new site, Pwigg.com in the works, which should bring in additional Google search terms and thousands of backlinks to our site.
We should have more pages indexed by Google very soon due to the Robot nofollow removal and Pwigg.com.

Web Experiment 2 - Pwigg.com
0 Comments Published November 15th, 2007 in New Features, OBW News, Web Experiment.
Our first web experiment did boost our traffic to something like 7,000 unique visitors per day but we found it had no effects on Alexa rankings. Instead of sending traffic, we are moving onto our new web experiments.
First, we have created a new site for page-owners of all paid wiki sites including Million Dollar Wiki, Million Euro Wiki, One Buck Wiki, and Five Dollar Wiki. We will be adding more sites of course in the near future but you can now go to Pwigg.com and submit your pages and vote on them. Although we are still working on the site graphics, you can submit your pages while we are making the site more enjoyable.
Sencond, we are going to be featuring individual pages on Zedomax.com, which has a good amount of power to boost all pages to first page on Google.
With these two changes, we should see immediate increase in Google search terms to the One Buck Wiki in the next 2 weeks.

We were going to launch OneEuroWiki but we are going to postpone it until we have figured out how to get more Google search terms to our site. This will be better since we are the guinea pig for the paid-wiki sites. So if you are developing some paid wiki business plans, keep going as we are going to help you but not right now.
We want to find that perfect match for Google SEO using various different MediaWiki extensions and playing around a bit.
So, hold on as we will keep testing what will work for SEO.

Featured Page - Ty Coughlin comes to One Buck Wiki!
0 Comments Published November 13th, 2007 in Featured Pages, JohnChow, OBW News.We decided since it’s really becoming obvious we are not getting good Google search terms other than “entre coupon”, we are going to start bloggin’ about every freakin’ page you buy and tag it like crazy.
I was wondering what the reverse funnel system was and I see it everywhere on the web. Although I haven’t bought their $50 offer to get started, I just find it kind humorous that Ty Coughlin comes to One Buck Wiki. Anyways, check out the site and don’t blame me if you don’t make a million bucks but do blame me if you do.
P.S. God, this Ty Coughlin is everywhere! They must have some marketing stuff we can learn at least… Look at John Chow’s blog, their Ty Coughlin everywhere there too!
Well, whoever bought “reverse funnel system” should really buy “reverse funnel systems”, “make money reverse funnel systems”, and etc…etc… It’s great that the English language is infinite and we are selling them…

How are we viral? A lot of new users to the OneBuckWiki wonder how we promote through viral marketing.
One of the most effective ways is through blog posts. A lot of our users are bloggers who promote for us. (and we do give out freebies for that.
)
But it doesn’t stop there. We run about 20 blogs and most of them have PR4 or PR5. We will do a lot of inter-linking withing all those blogs and somehow we end up with lots and lots of google search terms in the end.
You can check out some of our blogs at Zedomax.Net archives if you are wondering what kind of blogs we run. They are mostly niche markets that target certain topics such as beds, sleep, DIYs, and others.
We think that Web3.0 will be a mix of Web2.0 technologies. Even One Buck Wiki has such features since it’s a mix of Wiki and a Blog. We are maybe thinking of adding a voting function that page-owners can vote for the best pages. What do you think? It’d look like this website we run. OR even better, you can use our existing social networking site to promote your pages. The answer is simple, the more links pointing at your pages, the more traffic you will get and more valuable it be.

It seems like we are experiencing some visitors through google search. Check out Gizmosgadgets on Google Search. Even though the Gizmosgadgets Page has no content yet, we expect that as users build content and we sell more pages, we will ultimately gain 2000 to 3000 visitors a day from Google search terms in the next couple months.
Do you have content on your pages? If you don’t, we highly recommend putting some content as that will raise the chances of your page showing up on the first page of Google plus your page will ultimately sell for more dollars later down the road.
