In case you thought we were really mad at Can’t Get Rich blog, we actually simulated a fight to see if we could bring more traffic to both sites. If you feel you have been robbed, please consider laughing it off. :)

We were inspired by John Chow’s post on There Really Is No Such Thing As Bad Press.

I think we could have gotten more buzz off this simulated fight if more users got into it, but it seems like it had a mild effect so we will be trying something else in the future. Watch out for surprises! :)

New Voting System

We added a new AJAX voting extension today that let’s you vote with dollar bills!

Unlike the old voting system where only registered users could vote, this new voting system allows one vote per IP address so you can tell your friends to vote for your pages if you want to get up on that list of high achievers on the One Buck Wiki.

This might be a lot better at filtering the best pages at One Buck Wiki since we can allow even visitors to vote on their favorite pages with money.

Go ahead and try it out and vote with dollar bills! :)

Everyday, I keep getting these letters from theprizeblog.com. (Honestly, I think they just want some attention)

But, I realize this is a clever way of spamming.

I’ve never signed up for anything, but he’s asking for a link. (Like I lost something that I should have gotten…)

Anyways, it’s a very clever way of spamming. I tried replying back but no replies, must be a spam-bot.

Get more bang for your buck!

While working on the new EntreWiki, we came across this Dollar Stores Franchise ad. Guess what. Their motto is, “Get more bang for your buck! Own your own ASI Dollar Store!”. Well, I guess it’s pretty obvious for anyone to think of it but we just found it hilarious.

Maybe we will start a real dollar store if we sell 1 million pages. We will start our own franchise of Dollar Stores called, “OneBuckWiki Dollar Store”. Nah, we will just stick to non-physical pages that doesn’t need inventory.

OneBuckWiki carved onto Pacifica Pier!

OneBuckWiki carved onto Pacifica Pier!2

OneBuckWiki carved onto Pacifica Pier!3

Max likes to go fishing for crabs so he went over the weekend at Pacifica Pier in Pacifia, California. What did he do over the weekend? He carved OneBuckWiki.com onto the Pier along side his name. Max even makes his own crab baits like shown above. He says, “You get some lawn mower lines, chicken wires, and some tools. He didn’t catch any fish that day but on his good day he catches like 20 crabs. If you ever go fishing there, make sure to carve your name next to OneBuckWiki.com!

Lawn Mower Line, Chicken Wires, and Tools = $20.

Carving OneBuckWiki.com on Pacifica Pier and fishing for crabs at the same time = Priceless.

HOWTO make a One Dollar Shirt!2

HOWTO make a One Dollar Shirt!

Wow, check out how you can turn a dollar bill into a shirt!

When you re-tuck the fold you’ve been working on back under the collar, you’re done! It should look about like this. With the basic shape, the collar and the sleeves, it should be recognizable. Once you’ve done a few, you can try folding the whole thing into the reverse side, leaving the obverse side out. (Like I said, I think this looks better. This is especially true with 1 dollar bills where the edge seal on the reverse under the collar looks a little bit like a necklace.)
