It looks like our recent changes to removing “nofollow” tag for robots is having a good effect on One Buck Wiki’s SEO.

We have another keyword on Google tallying as number one, “digital gravel owners“.

We will no longer be selling words with underscores but with dashes instead.

Why? This will get searched much better by search engine crawlers.

So, if you buy a page with the phrase, “One Buck Wiki” You will get “http://onebuckwiki.com/One-Buck-Wiki” as URL instead of http://onebuckwiki.com/One_Buck_Wiki.

We have noticed that using underscores are really good for nothing. If you have any knowledge upon this, please feel free to leave us a comment.

Pages that have been previously bought will not be changed but your keyword will not be sold with the new URL change.

One Buck Wiki will be going through some major changes, meaning we will have more features added. Featured Pages have been going along slow but we will pick up the pace once all the changes are in the place. Today’s feature? We added a “Who’s Online Right Now” at the bottom of all our pages so you can check out who’s online! Another feature is that you can click on the users and find out about which pages that user owns.

This also helps your SEO rankings since whenever you are online, your user page is linked to every page on the One Buck Wiki.

The point? Log in to your account One Buck Wiki once a day and improve your search engine rankings and also promote your pages.

How do you edit your user pages? Log in often and we will activate your user page for you or you can e-mail us at support [at] onebuckwiki.com to get it activated quicker.

You can use your user pages to promote your own pages or even embed your pages in your user pages.

Recent changes and improvements seems to be paying off immediately, we are #1 on Google for “reverse funnel payment plan”. Whoever bought that page is lucky I guess…

If you take a look at the number of AdWords ads on the right side for this Google search term, you will notice there’s about 30 Google AdWords. That’s a highly competitive keyword that the page-owner of Reverse Funnel System has got! That could cost a lot of money if he were using AdWords and it wouldn’t be organic.

We highly suggest to submit your pages to Pwigg to improve your rankings even more. We will keep an eye as this could be potentially great for the website as more keywords show up #1.

Why sudden change? We live in a Web2.0 world where people are digging. Page views are technology from the Web1.0 world and we figured it’s a good time to change to Web2.0.

Another plus side to this change will result in more user interaction to the One Buck Wiki. This will ultimately result in more traffic too. The system only allows page-owners to vote on the pages, so no gaming will happen or at least that will minimize it.

It simply doesn’t make sense to list the most popular by page views. That is history and we are moving on to the new Voting society.

Remember we removed Nofollow tags for links on all pages? Well, we were so stupid (yes, we admit it) that we forgot to remove nofollow tags for robots for our Index and Most Popular Pages. Thanks to Collin at WordHugger, he caught the error for us and now we have a very nicely search-able website with all nofollows removed.
