Web Traffic Experiment
Published November 13th, 2007 in OBW News.We will be doing a web traffic experiment this week. We’ve hooked up all of our blogs with most traffic to bring traffic to OneBuckWiki. Although this doesn’t really lead to any sales of pages, we will be just doing it for fun. You can watch the traffic here. It seems like we’ve picked up 800 visitors already and it’s still 3:30AM. (Traffic starts at 12AM FYI)
How did we do it? We’ve noticed that one of our page-owners have been putting iFrames on their sites. Every time their website opened, his pages got traffic and of course, pageviews! So, we are following his idea basically.
On the side note, make sure to have your websites embedded in your pages because when a visitor opens your page, you will automatically get a hit as if they clicked through your link to your website. Don’t get it? We will explain more later down the road or ask us!
Just make sure you embed your pages like told here.
On the sidex2 note, we are working on new feature such as:
Templates that you can use to make your page look customized
Voting Feature or a new Wiki Digg site where you will benefit from SEO. (We’ve noticed that we are not getting the usual amount of Google search terms after almost a month. This is very bad and we are going to do something about it of course! You WILL get BANG for you dollar because we care….

Do you want to help us advertise?

Thats a great idea. You can place them on your main blogs in top section of right columns (In the place of recent commentors…) and add a link above the window, something like “Have a look at our recent wiki project”. This will be great advertisement within your network.
Pretty cool.
Another Killer idea, Place a window on OBW (linking FDW)
