How to add your page(s) to categories
Published October 25th, 2007 in Featured Pages, OBW News. Here’s how you can add your page(s) to as many categories as you want. You can even add new categories if one doesn’t exist for you.
Simple add the following code:
[[Category:Advertising]]
An online credit card is an ideal tool for people who work from home. Whether it is a new cheap insurance deal, or an application for home mortgage, they can apply for loans right from their home. Their mortgages can be deducted from their online accounts.
You can replace the word Advertising with any other category word you wish. To see a list of existing categories, you can always scroll to the bottom of our homepage.
You can also add your pages and a description to the category pages, which are user-editable. For example, you can goto Advertising category page and edit the page.
This will give you “DOUBLE” presence, meaning you will show up on categories plus the description. Still don’t get it? Don’t worry. We constantly surf user’s pages and add them for you or you can always e-mail us with a description to support [at] onebuckwiki.com.
What does this for your pages?
Basically, you will get indexed 10 times better by search engines since now search engines have categories to relate to. The more categories you relate to, the better you will show up for your keywords.

Is this set up to add multiple categories like -
[[Category:Advertising, Marketing]]
or do I need a separate line for each?

btw, I logged in on the main page and came here…did the same on another page and I come up as Anonymous. Either something is wrong with the scripting or I’m screwing up.

Hi Hitechabo,
The blog isn’t connected with the Wiki yet. We are still working on that. But you can just simply enter your name for now.
But the forum IS connected with the blog…
You’d want to do this for multiple categories:
[[Category:Advertising]][[Category:Business]][[Category:Marketing]]
How about setting up a help section in the forum. Maybe breaking it down into sections. That way everything “help” related would be in one place..the FAQ doesn’t do it. This would also allow a member who solved a problem to answer..taking some strain off you and you’re staff.
Sure Hitechabo,
We will be updating the Forum a little bit, it’s a little rusty so.
Yes, we will add a help section for sure!
