Writing Prompts
What is a Writing Prompt
Simply put, a writing prompt is an idea or a bit of inspiration that helps writers find things to write about. Writing prompts can be used in their entirety, or rearranged and mixed and matched, to fit each writer's style. Writing prompts can also be used for fiction and non-fiction. The possibilities are only limited by a writer's creative juices.
One Word Prompts
One word prompts are simply a list of words meant as a starting point for writers. The thing about one word prompts is that they can spark a thousand different ideas for each individual writer. Use any of these words in any way you see fit. Use just one, or use a grouping of them. Simply let the words spark your imagination.

Characters
The following is a list of potential characters for your story. Each character will consist of a name and a short bio of that character. You may use these as they are, or spruce them up a bit. It's totally up to you.

A young English woman who has just lost her parents. She is still in college and carries a family secret.
Frank Beaumont
An ranch hand who falls in love with his boss' wife. Though he's only in his 30's, life on the range makes him appear much older than he really is.
Jackie Turner
A high school teacher trying to make a difference in the world. She's very environmental and is determined to make her students feel the same.
Kyle Rosewood
A computer technician for a major corporation. He's both handsome and witty, but can't seem to keep a woman.
