WHAT MAKES GOLIGHT STRYKER LIGHTS DIFFERENT FROM GOLIGHT RADIORAY LIGHTS?
Golight Strykers differ from Golight Radiorays in 4 ways. The Golight Stryker is a newer, sleeker design. Golight Strykers are easier to mount via a removable, interlocking mounting plate. The motors in the Golight Stryker have a higher torque rating and there is a greater range of speed difference betweeen the fast and slow mode on the Golight Stryker. Finally, the Golight Stryker has a higher candlepower rating producing a working beam that is 150 feet longer than the Golight Radioray models.

The Golight Radioray 20XX series is a permanent searchlight with motorized rotation (370 degrees) and tilt (135 degrees). This Golight series includes wireless and wired remote controls. They offer UV and saltwater protection and carry a three year warranty. The searchlight is rated at 5,000,000 Retail Candle Power (400k ICP).
The Golight Radioray 21XX series is a stanchion mount searchlight applicable to marine use. The wireless remote controls the motorized rotation (370 degrees) and tilt (135 degrees). The red and green lights are designed to accommodate boating requirements as are the UV and saltwater resistance. The Golight 21XX carries a 3-year warranty. The searchlight is rated at 5,000,000 Retail Candle Power (400k ICP).
The Golight Radioray 79XX series is a portable searchlight with a carrying swivel handle. These Golights come with a magnetic mount shoe base. The spotlight attaches to the magnetic shoe base via a locking vacuum and spring loaded locking stop. The magnetic shoe base can be permanently mounted. This motorized spotlight rotates 370 degrees and tilts 120 degrees via wireless remote control. The Golight 79XX carries a three year warranty. The searchlight is rated at 5,000,000 Retail Candle Power (400k ICP).
The Golight Stryker 3XXX series is a permanent mount searchlight. The Golight Stryker offers a wireless dash mount remote control and a wireless handheld remote control. The permanent mount application is simple, utilizing a unique stainless steel mounting plate with interlocking connectivity to the spotlight. This motorized spotlight rotates 370 degrees and tilts 135 degrees via wireless remote control. The Golight Stryker series carries a 5 year warranty. The searchlight is rated at 6,500,000 Retail Candle Power (500k ICP).
All Golights are UV and saltwater resistant.

The Golight Stryker Remote Controlled Spotlight Mounting Plates work like this:
The plate comes away from the bottom of the Golight Stryker spotlight. Typically, the three mounting holes will be used to attach the plate to the mounting surface. Then the Golight spotlight is slid into place over the attached plate.
The mounting plate has three tabs on it. As the Golight spotlight slides on to the plate, two tabs slide under the front Golight base bracket. One tab slides beneath the front light base bracket.
Once in place, the back portion of the Golight spotlight mounting bracket slides into the groove at the back of the Golight base bracket.
A small retaining screw secures the mounting bracket to the base of the Golight spotlight. Once the screw is in place the Golight spotlight is securely attached to the mounting plate.
The Golight Radioray 7900, Golight 7901, Golight 7951, Golight 5149, Golight 5167, Golight 5149-M, Golight 517-M permanent mount or magnetic mount shoe works like this:
(The Golight 7900 includes the permanent mount shoe and comes in white. The Golight 7901 is white and comes with a magnetic shoe base. The Golight 7951 is black and comes with a magnetic shoe base. The magnetic shoe base can be mounted permanently as well.
The Golight remote control spotlight and magnetic (or permanent mount) shoe can shown separately.
The back of the Golight spotlight into the front of the shoe. The shoe has a wrap around lip on three sides. The Golight spotlight is inserted beneath this lip.

Once the Golight remote spotlight is slid fully into place, the spring loaded push button pops up, preventing the light from sliding back out of the shoe.
The bottom of the Golight remote spotlight is a vacuum base. The lever on the side of the Golight spotlight is pushed upright in order to initiate the vacuum mount. The vaccum mount lock in coordination with the wrap around lips of the shoe and the spring loaded push button lock the light into place.
In order to extricate the Golight spotlight from the magnetic (or permanent) shoe base, the moves the side lever to the horizontal position. This releases the vacuum mount. The operator then depresses the spring loaded button and pulls the Golight spotlight forward. The Golight spotlight slides out from under the lips.
CHANGING GOLIGHT 2020 (Golight 2021 black version) WIRELESS REMOTE CONTROL SPOTLIGHT TO WIRELESS REMOTE CONTROL FLOOD LIGHT
Today, our fun begins with a Golight 2020 wireless remote control spotlight with permanent mount base. The Golight 2020 comes with a spotlight lamp. In order to convert the spotlight to a flood light, the lens and reflector assembly must be replaced with a lens/reflector assemby with a trapezoidal (diffusion) lens.
There are 4 screws that hold the lens/reflector assembly in place via bezel.
Remove the 4 screws on the Golight 2020 bezel with a phillips head screw driver.
Gaze upon the screws from the Golight 2020 in your hand. Remove the bezel by pulling it up out of the remote control spotight lamp housing.
You will be able to pull the lamp assembly from the Golight 2020. However, the wire harness attached to the bulb will limit your ability to pull it out further. Reaching behind the lens turn the bulb clockwise. As the bulb turns, you will see the tabs on the bulb line up with the slots on the back of the lens/reflector assembly. Once the tabs align with the slots the bulb will slide out of the lens/reflector assembly.
At this point the bulb will be free of the lens/reflector assembly. There are three locking tabs holding the bulb to the wiring harness in the Golight 2020. Pull the two tabs on the side and the one on the back outwards. The bulb will slide out of the wiring harness.
Remove the bulb and place it elsewhere. Cutting the plastic wire tie that holds the wire harness to the Golight 2020 frame will enable you to pull the wire harness free and work easier.
The flood lamp is a sealed glass lamp with two wire prongs. The prongs seat in the wire harness plug. The flood lamp plugs into the wire harness plug by pressing the two tabs into the plug.
Replace the bezel and replace the 4 screws you gazed upon earlier in the process. The Golight 2020 remote control spotlight is now a Golight 2020 remote control flood light.
